Building Forward Together
My name is Craig Wynia, and I’m honored to serve as your 2026 President of the Home Builders Association of the Sioux Empire. I represent Red Rock Builders and Jeren Homes, and like many of you, my path in this industry started early, working alongside my dad on jobsites while I
was still in high school. That’s where the passion for building took root and where I learned the value of hard work, mentorship, and pride in doing things the right way.
In 2004, I started my own company focused on trim and finish work, growing it steadily through 2012. Those years taught me not only the craft, but the realities of running a business. From there, I joined JJ Myott as a project manager, a role that eventually transitioned into ownership. Through every stage, the lessons I learned early on, accountability, teamwork, and pride in what you build, have stayed with me and continue to guide my leadership.
As we step into 2026, our association is building on strong momentum. You’ll see that reflected in our recent rebrand, including a refreshed logo and website that better represents who we are today: professional, forward-thinking, and focused on delivering value. These updates will roll out gradually through the first part of the year, ensuring they enhance the member experience while remaining grounded in the mission that has guided us since 1956.
Looking ahead, I have three core goals for the year. First is workforce development. The future of our industry depends on attracting, inspiring, and preparing the next generation of builders and tradespeople. Second is protecting the freedom to
build by staying engaged in local, state, and national policy conversations that directly affect our ability to do business. Third is member engagement. This association is strongest when members are involved, at events, on committees, and in conversations that move our industry forward. Every member’s voice matters, whether you are a long-time leader or new to the association. When members share ideas, raise concerns, and engage in meaningful dialogue, we make better decisions and ensure the Association reflects the needs of those we represent.
With that voice comes responsibility. Our strength and credibility as an association are built on trust, and that trust is grounded in ethics, professionalism, and accountability. The updated Member Code of Ethics, which can be found on page 21, reflects the gold standard our members and our community expect from us. When we hold ourselves to that standard, we lead by example and strengthen both our Association and our industry.
That commitment My to ethical leadership and open dialogue is why I’m especially excited to kick off the year with our Power Breakfast Series. These gatherings set the tone for 2026 by bringing people together, sharing insights, and strengthening relationships that support professional growth and thoughtful leadership across our membership.
Thank you for your trust, your involvement, and your voice. I’m excited for the year ahead as we honor our foundation and continue building forward, together.
Honoring Our Foundation. Building Forward.
