One of the things I love most about the Sioux Empire is the willingness of both our industry and our community to step up and give back.
Whether it’s supporting workforce development, mentoring students, volunteering in the community, or helping a neighbor in need, people throughout our region understand that building stronger communities requires more than constructing homes. It requires investing in people.
As the Home Builders Care Foundation continues to grow its impact, we’ve been exploring new ways to bring our members and community together while generating additional support for the programs that make a difference across the Sioux Empire. That vision led to the creation of Building Dreams.
Building Dreams is more than a single event. It is a new signature event series created to give members and industry partners an opportunity to support the Foundation in unique and creative ways while showcasing the talent, innovation, and generosity that make our industry so special.
What excites me most about this concept is that there are no limits to what Building Dreams can become. It could be a luxury home tour, a special project unveiling, an educational experience, a behind-the-scenes industry showcase, or something entirely different. The goal is to create opportunities for members to share their talents, showcase their work, engage the community, and support a mission that continues to make a difference throughout the Sioux Empire.
The Foundation’s impact continues to grow because of the generosity and commitment of our members, volunteers, and community partners. Through educational partnerships, workforce development initiatives, scholarships, community programs, and charitable outreach efforts, we are helping create opportunities for future generations. Today, the Foundation’s investments in education, workforce development, scholarships, community programs, and charitable initiatives exceed $1.5 million, creating opportunities for students, supporting families, strengthening our workforce, and improving lives throughout the Sioux Empire.
Building Dreams was created to help continue and expand that impact.
We are excited to launch the first Building Dreams event on July 25, featuring the exclusive public unveiling of The Bentley, a remarkable custom home built by Atlas Companies and located within Mapleton Estates at Mapleton Highlands.
For one afternoon only, guests will have the opportunity to experience one of the Sioux Empire’s most anticipated custom homes while supporting a cause that is investing in people and creating opportunities throughout our community.
The event also provides a unique opportunity to experience Mapleton Highlands, one of the region’s most exciting new residential developments. Developed by Van Buskirk Companies, Mapleton Highlands combines the beauty of the Dakota prairie with the convenience of Sioux Falls living. Anchored by the new Mapleton Golf Club, the development features thoughtfully planned neighborhoods, exceptional views, and a vision for creating a one-of-a-kind lifestyle community that will help shape the future growth of the Sioux Empire.
By partnering with the Foundation, Atlas Companies is helping bring this vision to life while creating a memorable experience that benefits the entire community. Most importantly, every ticket purchased helps support the work of the Home Builders Care Foundation. The funds raised will support scholarships, workforce development initiatives, educational partnerships, and community programs that continue to create opportunities throughout our community. These investments help develop the next generation of skilled professionals while strengthening the communities where we live, work, and build.
I believe Building Dreams has the potential to become something truly special. It provides a new platform for members who want to give back, share their expertise, and support a mission that is making a lasting impact. It also creates opportunities for the Foundation to continue growing its reach and investing in programs that benefit both our industry and our community.
Today, Building Dreams begins with The Bentley. Tomorrow, it could become something entirely different. That’s the beauty of the concept and the opportunity it creates for our members.
