Connecting, Celebrating, and Advocating
As we move into February, our association is gearing up for one of the most exciting and impactful months of the year. February marks the time when we host our premier event, the Sioux Empire Home Show, taking place February 27 through March 1. This event is a cornerstone of our organization and a true celebration of our industry, bringing together builders, associates, and the community to showcase the strength and innovation of the Sioux Empire home-building industry. Each year, the Home Show provides an invaluable platform for members to highlight new trends, products, and services while connecting directly with homeowners and future clients, making it a key driver of growth and visibility for our members.
We are also looking forward to kicking off the Home Show with our Member Celebration Fiesta on February 27 at the Sioux Falls Arena. This event is a great opportunity for members to connect, celebrate another successful year, and enjoy time together before the show officially opens. We encourage members to join us for an evening of networking, appreciation, and fun as we launch our biggest event of the year.
As we prepare for the Home Show, we are also in need of additional volunteers to help ensure the event runs smoothly. Volunteers play a vital role in supporting exhibitors, assisting attendees, and helping behind the scenes throughout the show. In addition to the Home Show, we are excited to host our first Spotlight Social of the year on February 12 at T & T Granite. Spotlight Socials provide a relaxed setting for members to build relationships, learn more about fellow member businesses, and strengthen connections within our association.
February also coincides with the legislative session, making it a critical time for our association to remain proactive and engaged in advocating for pro-building policies. Decisions made during this session can have a lasting impact on housing affordability, workforce development, and the overall health of our industry. We encourage members to stay informed, lend their voices, and support legislation that promotes responsible growth and a strong building environment for our region. February is a reminder of the power of coming together through education, networking, advocacy, and community engagement.
