Don’t Forget About the Kids: Powered by Builders FirstSource

Hard Hat Fun Ahead!

The Home Builders Association, in partnership with Builders FirstSource, is excited to invite kids and families to the Kids Building Zone at this year’s Home Show!

This is where creativity meets construction and little hands get to do some big building. Kids will step into the role of a real builder as they design and build their very own wooden toolbox to take home. It’s hands-on, it’s exciting, and it’s the kind of project that sparks big smiles and even bigger confidence.

This isn’t just an activity, it’s an experience. Skilled builders from across the Sioux Empire, along with members of our Home Builders Student Chapters, will be on hand to work one-on-one with kids, offering guidance, encouragement, and a behind-the-scenes look at what it’s like to build for a living. Along the way, kids will learn new skills, use real tools, and discover just how fun building can be. Thanks to the support of Builders FirstSource, the Kids Building Zone is FREE with paid adult admission to the Sioux Empire Home Show. It’s the perfect opportunity to introduce kids to the world of construction, craftsmanship, and the skilled trades, all while having a blast.

So, bring your future builder, roll up those sleeves, and get ready to build memories that last. The Kids Building Zone is where imagination, teamwork, and craftsmanship come together, one toolbox at a time!

Hours: Saturday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM and Sunday from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
