Honoring Exceptional Leadership: Celebrating Our Outgoing NAHB Delegates

Leadership matters, and our association has been fortunate to be represented by two exceptional leaders at the national level. As Candi Menke and Russ Pies conclude their time serving on the HBASE Board, we pause to recognize the impact they have made and the legacy they leave behind. Their service reflects the very best of what volunteer leadership looks like within our industry.

Throughout their time with HBASE, both Candi and Russ have been deeply engaged and highly respected leaders. As members of the HBASE Hall of Fame, their contributions extend well beyond board service, reflecting years of commitment, integrity, and influence within our association. Their involvement on multiple committees helped guide key initiatives, strengthen member engagement, and uphold the standards that define our organization, often stepping up during pivotal moments and lending thoughtful perspective to complex decisions.

Both Candi and Russ have earned Senior Life Delegate status with the National Association of Home Builders, a distinction that reflects years of dedicated service and respected leadership. Their voices ensured our local perspective was represented in national discussions while strengthening the connection between our association and NAHB, benefiting members at every level of the federation.

We have been incredibly fortunate to benefit from their experience, guidance, and steady leadership over the years. They leave behind big shoes to fill and a standard of service that will continue to inspire future leaders, setting an example of what it means to lead with purpose and professionalism.

While their roles with HBASE are evolving, they are far from done. Candi and Russ will remain active at the national level and stay engaged locally in meaningful ways, continuing to support our members, mentor emerging leaders, and advocate for our industry.

We thank them for their dedication, leadership, and lasting contributions, and we wish them the very best as they continue to serve the home building community.
