As we welcome the month of June, we are reminded of the importance of homeownership and the vital role it plays in creating strong families, stable neighborhoods, and thriving communities. National Homeownership Month highlights the opportunities, security, and sense of pride that come with having a place to call home. It also serves as a reminder of the work still needed to ensure more families have access to safe, affordable housing opportunities. Homeownership remains one of the strongest foundations for long-term stability, and our industry plays an important role in helping make that dream possible for families throughout the Sioux Empire.
June is also a meaningful month for our membership, filled with opportunities to connect, give back, and strengthen the relationships that make our association and industry so strong. Throughout the month, we come together not only to support one another professionally, but also to make a lasting impact in the communities we help build every day. These events and opportunities continue to remind us of the value of being involved and the importance of staying connected as an industry.
One of the highlights is our annual Repair Affair Day, led by the Home Builders Care Foundation, the charitable arm of the Home Builders Association of the Sioux Empire. This event brings together HBA members, volunteers, and community partners to help homeowners complete critical exterior repairs and improvements. Many of this year’s projects focus on accessibility improvements, helping homeowners remain safe, independent, and comfortable in their homes for years to come. Repair Affair Day is a powerful example of neighbors helping neighbors and reflects the heart of our mission. It also highlights the generosity and compassion that exist within our membership and the willingness of our industry to step up and serve others.
We are also excited to host our highly anticipated City Bus Tour and Civic Celebration Night. These events provide a wonderful opportunity for members to engage with community leaders, strengthen partnerships, and showcase the impact our industry has across the Sioux Empire. They remind us that what we do extends far beyond building homes, we are helping shape the future of our communities. These conversations and connections are critical as our region continues to grow and evolve.
In addition, we are thrilled to host our sold-out Golf Tournament at Prairie Green Golf Course on June 18th. The incredible support from our sponsors, golfers, and community partners continues to make this event a tremendous success year after year. Events like this not only bring our membership together but also strengthen the connections and relationships that continue moving our association forward. It’s always exciting to see so many members come together in support of our association and the relationships that make our industry stronger.
As we move through this exciting month, I encourage all members to stay involved and take advantage of the many opportunities to connect, volunteer, and engage. Whether you’re participating in an event, supporting a fellow member, or giving back through community service, your involvement helps strengthen both our association and the communities we serve.
