Sioux Falls Builder Honored with National Awards

The Home Builders Association of the Sioux Empire (HBASE) is honored to announce that one of their members has won two Best in American Living Awards (BALA). The 2012 awards were recently presented by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) at the International Builders Show in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Just east of downtown Las Vegas, Creative Building Corporation, a construction company based out of Sioux Falls, transformed a traditional-style home that was built in 1994 into a stunning masterpiece. Nestled on 1.5 acres at the highest point of Sunrise Mountain, this luxury estate home won the Gold BALA for Remodeling and also the Platinum BALA for Specialty Remodeling Project.

“The BALA winners have always shown that they are at the forefront of innovative design, and this year is no different,” said Skip Howes, 2012 design committee chair and president of Scott Homes Ltd. in Woodland Park, CO. “We are proud to recognize these companies and individuals for their creative and forward-thinking approaches to their work.”

Now in its 29th year, BALA recognizes outstanding achievement by builders and design professionals in all sectors of the residential housing industry including single-family production, custom, rental, affordable, interiors, remodeling, community and international, based on the principle that good design is not, and should not be, limited to high-priced and/or custom homes.  Even the simplest, most affordable homes can receive an award if they showcase good design.

The professionals at Creative Building Corporations gave this award winning home a Venetian stucco exterior, added a 50-foot infinity pool and constructed a gorgeous “turn on” 185-foot stream with waterfall. Inside this 7,400 square foot luxury home, guests receive an abundance of natural light through the floor-to-ceiling windows in nearly every room. This gives way to the breathtaking views of the entire Vegas Valley.

“We are honored to receive this prestigious award,” said Troy Stallings, owner of Creative Building Corporations. “It’s very satisfying to have our efforts recognized by such a distinguished group of professionals in the NAHB.”

The 5 bedroom, 6 bath home is fully furnished with custom Italian furniture. The master suite includes a private deck complete with misters and a fan to beat the Vegas heat. The entire home is equipped with an iPod music system. All guests of all ages are welcome, including those who might normally have trouble with stairs as this home includes an elevator.
