Home Builders Association of the Sioux Empire Announces 2017 Industry Awards


SIOUX FALLS, SD, December 4, 2017 ---The Home Builders Association of the Sioux Empire (HBASE) is proud to announce the 2017 Building Industry Award Winners. “These awards highlight our top members in 2017 who have helped to make significant contributions to the association,” said Corey Johnson, 2017 President.

 

Housing Hall of Fame Inductee

Ron Bell, Former City of Sioux Falls Chief Building Official

The HBASE is proud to induct its newest Housing Hall of Fame member, Ron Bell. Ron served as the Sioux Falls Chief Building Official from 1985-2017 and recently retired after 32 years with his position.

 

Housing Hall of Fame Inductee

Chuck Point, Ronning Companies

The HBASE is proud to induct its newest Housing Hall of Fame member, Chuck Point. Chuck has chaired the association’s Local Government Affairs committee and served as the 1998 President.

 

HBASE Builder Member of the Year

Dusty Rallis, Rallis Construction

Dusty will be the association’s 2019 President. He has served on the Board of Directors and Care Foundation Board of Trustees. He has chaired the Parade of Homes committee and volunteers for a number of projects including the annual Repair Affair program.

 

HBASE Associate Member of the Year

Justin Anderson, Hebron Brick

Justin currently serves on the association’s Board of Directors. For a number of years, he has been a loyal volunteer of the Sioux Empire Home Show and has played an impactful role in the success of the annual Outdoor Living Showcase event.

 

HBASE Volunteer of the Year

Cissy Buhler, Keller Williams Realty of Sioux Falls

Cissy currently serves on number of committees and the association’s Board of Directors. She was chosen as this year’s volunteer of the year award as she is always eager to offer her time at events and has been a great help to the association.

 

HBASE Presidential Award

Julie Terrell, Home Builders Association of the Sioux Empire

This award is given when the President feels that a project or a person that has played a positive role or played a large impact with them during their presidency. Julie has served as the Executive Vice President of the association since 2010. Over the years, Julie has played a beneficial role in managing a number of large successful events and projects, specifically the annual Sioux Empire Home Show.
