The HBASE Workforce Development Committee on behalf of the Harrisburg School District is pleased to promote Harrisburg Career Launch, a new workforce partnership program to create opportunities for students and employers. Please review the message below from Travis Lape with the Harrisburg School District regarding this new program:
HBASE Members,
In the Harrisburg School District, we are inviting you to join us to address workforce development needs in our community.  With Harrisburg Career Launch, we can help identify areas to address workforce readiness and employability issues by creating opportunities for our learners and your future employees. These opportunities can include employer paid internships (10 hours a week), career job shadows or classroom talks. It is critical to emphasize business and community partnerships with schools, so that all learners have access to education and training opportunities that will prepare them for high-skill, high-wage employment in a fulfilling career of choice. This is only possible if we work together to make this program a reality. If your business would like to learn more about this and how you can join us on this journey, please reach out to me to learn more.
