Fall Parade to Highlight 69 homes

The Home Builders Association of the Sioux Empire (HBASE) is excited to welcome everyone out to the 2012 Spring Parade of Homes™ Sept 22-24 & Sept. 29 – Oct. 21 . Over 75 newly constructed homes will be showcasing the hottest trends in the home building industry. Over 45 builders have been working around the clock to get these homes ready for this big event! Homes will be located in Sioux Falls, Harrisburg, and Canton. Come out and tour these amazing homes, all at no charge (excluding the Feature Homes).

All Parade homes range in price from less than $140,000 to more than $1,000,000. Homes will be open Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Mondays from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Directional maps are available in the September issue of Home Ideas Magazine (official event publication).

One of the Feature Homes on this year’s Fall Parade of Homes will be Parade Home #42, constructed by Deffenbaugh Homes. In this Mediterranean meets Midwest style home you’ll be welcomed by marble flooring, a tiled, screened-in deck, and a gourmet kitchen that includes a hidden walkthrough pantry.

Also on this year’s tour is a second Feature Home, parade home #43, built by Kevin Johansen Homes. On the outside this home features lap siding, textured soffits, and large screened-in porch that includes a fireplace. When moving inside, parade visitors will find custom cabinetry and millwork, a lower level walkout, wet bar, and a master bedroom suite.

Both Feature Homes are located in Prairie Hills South and can be found by following the directional arrows just south on Western Avenue from 69^th Street. Proceeds from the $6 admission to tour both homes will benefit the Sioux Empire Home Builders Care Foundation. The Care Foundation is the charitable arm of the HBASE and supports scholarships, Tools for Schools and the Repair Affair program.

Other trends that can be seen in the Fall Parade homes include: an in home Geothermal system (# 6 by Scott Gilbert Construction Co.); high definition countertops (#27 by Paul Fick Homes, Inc.); 8” rustic plank floors (# 44  by Zome’s Construction); finished family room in lower level with bar (#54  by Thurman Construction Co.);  in home audio system (#65 Premiere Builders); and radiant in-floor hearing throughout the home  (# 66 by Lundeby Homes.).
