3 Types of Memberships:
Builders are the heart and soul of the home builders association. Builder members are directly involved in building homes. They include small-volume builders, production builders, light commercial builders, remodelers and land developers. Builder members must provide a copy of their Sioux Falls contractors license or a South Dakota excise tax certificate.
Associate members provide products or services to home builders. They sell drywall, siding, cabinets, etc. or offer services such as tax preparation, vehicle maintenance, equipment rental, etc. The industry isn't complete without the help from the Associate members.
The Affiliate member category was designed to reach out to the employees of Builder and Associate members, enabling more industry professionals to reap the rewards of NAHB membership, at a fraction of the cost of a full membership. An Associate or Builder membership is required before an individual can become an Affiliate member. Their contact information is then published on our website and in the annual membership directory and they also receive the monthly HBA News too. Contact the HBASE office to become an Affiliate member (or click here for PDF application).
