The Home Builders Association of the Sioux Empire (HBASE) offers a variety of services and benefits to its members. By participating in the association, members can enhance their business opportunities and gain a competitive edge by staying exposed to the most current information and issues. Being involved in HBASE sponsored events & activities is the key to getting the most from your membership.
When you join the Home Builders Association of the Sioux Empire, you automatically become a member of the South Dakota Home Builders Association (SDHBA) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). Within NAHB there are over 700 chapters nationwide and of those, we are proud to say that HBASE is one of the largest HBA's in the country! With an annual retention rate for membership of right around 90%, that too is a fantastic statistic that proves our membership is dedicated and in it for the long haul.
3 Types of Memberships:
Builders are the heart and soul of the home builders association. There are currently around 200 Builder members in the HBASE. These companies are directly involved in building and remodeling homes. They include small-volume builders, production builders, light commercial builders, remodelers and land developers. Builder members must provide a copy of their Sioux Falls contractors license or a South Dakota excise tax certificate.
Associate members are those that provide products or services to the builders. They sell materials that go into the construction of a home and install products that make the home complete. Associate members also offer various services to those in the industry to make their jobs run smooth whether it's at the jobsite or in the office. The industry isn't complete without the help from our Associate members as this group makes up the majority of HBASE with currently over 550 companies that are Associate members.
The Affiliate member category was designed to reach out to the employees of Builder and Associate member companies, enabling more industry professionals to reap the rewards of NAHB membership, at a fraction of the cost of a full membership. An Associate or Builder membership is required before an individual can become an Affiliate member. Affiliates have their contact information published on our website and in the annual membership directory and they also receive the monthly HBA News too. Contact the HBASE office to become an Affiliate member (or click here for PDF application).
